BEERS

Year-round Brews

Beer Name: Rock Ryder

Beer Style: Rye/Wheat Beer

ABV: 4.8 %

IBU: 20

SRM: 4

This is a wheat beer for the masses. It pours with a white head and has a cloudy straw color. The addition of rye malt gives it a complexity and subtle pepperiness that's only accentuated by the hops. It's light and refreshing with just enough bite and flavor to quench a Texas summer sized thirst.

Food Pairing: Light and soft cheeses, crisp salads, poultry, fish and shellfish.

Beer Name: Hop Trapp

Beer Style: Belgian-Style IPA

ABV: 6.4%

IBU: 55

SRM: 13

This IPA has more in common with its Trappist cousins than with the face shredding IPA's of the west coast. While we still have a healthy bitter backbone and floral hop notes, this IPA is decidedly malty and complex with the addition of our Belgian yeast. It's the thinkin' man's IPA.

Food Pairings: Spicy foods from Thai to Mexican to Hot Wings

Beer Name: The Temptress

Beer Style: Imperial Milk Stout

ABV: 9.1%

IBU: 50

SRM: 32

This seductress is like dessert in a glass. It pours with a thick milk chocolate head. Chocolate and caramel malt give it a complex and rich body. Lower carbonation gives the beer a silky mouthfeel. She’s voluptuous and will sneak up on you with soft alcohol warmth. Take your time with her and she’ll reward you.

Food Pairing: Robust bleu cheese, dark chocolate and decadent sweet desserts.

Beer Name: Lakewood Lager

Beer Style: Vienna-Style Lager

ABV: 4.6%

IBU: 23

SRM: 12

This amber lager starts with a subtle caramel aroma. The coppery hue draws you into its balanced flavor of light malty sweetness and round noble hop bitterness. It finishes dry and clean. Leaving your palate refreshed for another glass.

Food Pairing: Queso, grilled meats, a good burger or a plate of nachos.

Seasonal Offerings

Beer Name: Punkel (Fall Seasonal)

Beer Style: Pumpkin Spiced Dunkel

ABV: 5.4%

IBU: 22

SRM: 19

We put the Punk in the Dunkel. Dunkels are dark lagers with a smooth malt flavor. We kick it up with some pumpkin spice for an easy drinking German session beer. Perfect for those fleeting Texas fall days spent watching the grackles fly south to their favorite grocery store parking lots.

Food Pairings: Fall fare like Venison, Corny Dogs and Halloween candy.

imagesBeer Name: Bourbon-Barrel Temptress (Winter Seasonal)

Beer Style: Bourbon-barrel aged Imperial Milk Stout

ABV: 9.1%

IBU: 50

SRM: 32

Everything you love about The Temptress, but boozier and nicely-aged. One could say she's the "cougar" of milk stouts. Hints of vanilla, oak, toffee and caramel intertwine for a boozy, dangerously smooth treat.

Food Pairings: Salted caramel and dark chocolate.

beer4Beer Name: Till & Toil (Spring Seasonal)

Beer Style: Farmhouse Saison

ABV: 6.4%

IBU: 21

SRM: 3

With spring comes renewal. Whether tilling a field or simply mowing the yard, hard work should be rewarded appropriately. This crisp, thirst-quenching, rustic farmhouse saison pairs perfectly with the warming weather of the season. Notes of grapefruit, pineapple and peach are derived from the unique hops used in the brew.

Food Pairings: Roast herb chicken, steamed mussels, funky cheese, or Asian stir-fry

Legendary Series

Substyle - Belgian-Style Dark Strong Ale.previewBeer Name: Brabo's Cut

Beer Style: Belgian-Style Dark Ale

ABV: 9.4%

IBU: 27

SRM: 21

The first release in our Legendary Series, Brabo's Cut is a bold, complex Belgian-Style Dark Ale. Brewed with blessed water, it's rich with notes of brown sugar, figs, and sweet honey, compliments of the local, wildflower honey from our brewer's family hives. Inspired by how the Belgian city of Antwerp got its name, it tells the story of a Roman soldier named Silvius Brabo, the man who slayed the giant Druon Antigoon. Antigoon guarded a bridge over the river Scheldt, and demanded all travelers pay a toll to cross. If you didn't have the money, he would chop off your hand. Brabo, growing tired of these antics, decided to repay him in kind by chopping off Antigoon's own hand, slaying him, and throwing his hand into the river below. Thus the name Antwerp, or Antwerpen (Dutch for "to throw hand"). Today we honor Brabo's heroism with these spoils of a job well done. A mighty reward that we share with you.
